THE HUMANITIES AND THE UNIVERSITY - II

Hindu University of America offers many courses such as: Vedic Courses, Sanskrit Courses, Vedic Study Courses, Hindu Vedas.



 In this course, students will make the university itself—as a historical creation, social body, and institution—the object of analysis. They will reflect on the problems with the university, its relationship to the wider public and the dangers to learning that concentration and specialization pose. They will also gain a critical view of the university as an instrument of social segregation and control. Student projects may include: examining educational access and outcomes for Black vs. white students, graduate placement, and current debates about affirmative action and discriminatory admissions policies (eg at Harvard and other Ivy Leagues).

CONFLICT AND PEACE STUDIES | UNITED STATES

Hindu University of America offers many courses such as Vedic courses, Sanskrit language courses, Vedic studies courses, Hindu Veda.  This field enriches the discipline of Conflict and Peace Studies by providing a Hindu perspective. By becoming more inclusive and pluralistic, conflicts at different levels can be approached more creatively. There are few contemporary studies on the Hindu perspective on conflict and peace. Most of these studies will focus on Indian developments in the 20th century (especially its second half) and juxtapose Indian thought with dominant Western theories. However, the development of Hindu thought on these topics can be traced back to antiquity. One example would illustrate this point.   Certificate Program in Sanskrit Proficiency - Advanced Phase It is comprised of eight courses for students of all ages, including post the high school level (Grade 12 or GED). It is the final of three phases that follow - Intermediate, Beginner and Advanced. They make up the Certificate Program in Sanskrit Learning Proficiency. It requires that you have completed the Beginner and Intermediate phases of the Sanskrit proficient program.
