Join Our Sanskrit Course and Gain Deeper Understanding of Bhagavad Gita | HUA

 The Certificate Program in Bhagavad Gita via Sanskrit has been designed with the purpose of offering students a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of one of the most respected texts in Sanatana Dharma, the Bhagavad Gita, through the lens of Sanskrit, the classical language of India. The program is a collection of sixteen courses, with the course under discussion being the first one in the series. It has been created for students who are interested in learning the basics of Sanskrit grammar and vocabulary while concurrently exploring the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Expert faculty members will lead this course and provide a verse-by-verse analysis of Chapter 1 of the Bhagavad Gita. This approach will help the students gain a deeper understanding of the text's meaning and importance. Simultaneously, students will also learn the fundamentals of Sanskrit, including the usage of verbal roots, nouns, pronouns, and sentence formation and structure. 

Through a series of specially designed handouts, the students will delve into the nuances of the Sanskrit language, as well as the philosophical concepts expressed within the Bhagavad Gita. This approach will enable them to develop an appreciation for the unique worldview that the text embodies, allowing them to reflect on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita from within the Sanskrit language. 

By the end of the course, students will have acquired the ability to recognize common Sanskrit words, prepositions, and terms, as well as use pronouns, people, and numbers. They will also have a solid understanding of the building blocks of the Sanskrit language, which will enable them to engage in simple everyday conversations in the language. Furthermore, they will be able to identify the second and sixth case-endings and words ending with a vowel. 

This course represents the first step in the Certificate Program in Bhagavad Gita via Sanskrit and is ideal for individuals who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the text's message while concurrently learning the classical language of India. The program is part of the curriculum of the Hindu University of America, a prestigious institution that is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Sanatana Dharma.
